About the event
Musicality, expression, and experience: This is what Guy Unger is noted for with his thirty-five plus year career in music. Known mostly for his electric guitar playing, however, he plays everything from rock and blues to jazz and classical. He has written and recorded several albums and plays throughout the southeast regularly when he isn’t busy teaching music.
Guy graduated from The Atlanta Institute of Music in 1996 and received a BA in music from Methodist University in 2022 where he graduated with honors. He has been a professional musician since the late 1980’s and has been a music instructor since 1996. He loves sharing the gift of music, so much so that he has opened his own music school called the Fayetteville Music Collective.
He has held the guitarist role in some well-known area groups such as DL Token and Silverstate. Currently he is working with his band “The Guy Unger Band” where they play the southeast region. The goal, according to Guy, is to put a smile on faces, move people to sing and all in all have a great time.
