Parade participant faq
We are so excited to be so close to the 46th Annual International Folk Festival Parade of Nations. We are so pumped to have our festival this year and we have some great features including a great Arts Market, Food Line-Up, and a FANTASTIC parade line-up with our dedicated groups that love to showcase their culture. Here is this year's parade information for parade participants and performers.

Know before you go!

The parade of nations is expected to begin promptly at 10am on Saturday September 28th

Group Leaders should arrive no later than 8:00 am for check-in and to pick up their parade signs. ONLY THE GROUP LEADER CAN CHECK IN.

Only vehicles participating in the parade will be allowed on the festival footprint. All other vehicles will be turned away.

All other vehicles must park at the lower Cumberland County Courthouse parking lot (Cool Spring Street & Russell Street) or the City Parking Deck (Franklin & Gillespie)

The Fayetteville Police Department will be managing the closures and will only allow vehicles through via RUSSELL STREET

Plan for delays due to traffic

Take RUSSELL STREET to DICK STREET to get to the courthouse parking lot

ALL Marchers should enter the footprint via the Courthouse Parking Lot (Bottom lot - Cool Spring Street).

Once parked marchers are expected to make their way to their designated locations on Person Street.

Group Leaders should arrive no later than 8:00 am for check-in and to pick up their parade signs.

ONLY THE GROUP LEADER CAN CHECK IN OR PICK UP PARADE SIGNS.

All floats will be positioned on the side street (Otis Jones Pkwy) away from marchers to prevent accidents.

Floats will unite with their marchers at the intersection of Gillespie and Person Street.

ALL Floats should enter the footprint via Russell & Dick Street. From there you will be directed to their waiting places on Gillespie and Otis Jones Pkwy.
