Celebration of African American Authors & Literary Works

Black>LIT  is an intentional effort to motivate, reaffirm, and empower our culture by making literacy relatable, relevant, and accessible to communities of color.

Black>LIT showcases the published literary works of talented African American authors throughout North Carolina, as well as publications with content that is of general interest to African American readers.

Attaining POWER through KNOWLEDGE, Black>LIT not only strives to keep a love for literacy present in communities of color, but it also serves as a developmental resource for emerging and established African American authors who aspire to take their literary works to the next level.
