Inspired by femininity, intimacy, and nature, Raised By Angels is a collection of photographic works created by visual artist Courtney "Co" Cheatham that divinely captures women of color in their natural form, style, and grace.

Her works honor Black women in their angelic light that represents their strength, grace, and guardianship.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Courtney "Co" Cheatham now resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a photographer and film director, she has a profound portfolio of photographic works and projects in film/video.

As a 2020-21 recipient of the Mini Grant awarded by the Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County, photographer Courtney "Co" Cheatham was able to capture the power, passion, and true essence of Black women as depicted through the "Raised By Angels" project. She drew inspirational support from activist and model, Ebonee Davis, influencer and branding expert, Lanatria Ellis, and blogger Stacey Ann Blake.
